Why triathlon?
Sophie competed in her first triathlon in 2017 and has loved the sport ever since. She is an avid swimmer, runner, cyclist, and downhill skier. She plays softball and track for Cupertino Middle School competing in the long jump, triple jump, mile, and 4 x 400 relay. She also competes for USA swimming as a member of the Sunnyvale Swim Club (SUNN). Sophie‘s goals for this year include competing in her first Far Westerns for swimming, the USA Triathlon youth nationals, and to learn how to water ski. She loves reading and playing with her labradoodle Summer.
